‘Ilima (Sida fallax) is a native Hawaiian shrub known for its vibrant orange-yellow flowers, typically growing 1-3 feet tall. In Hawaiian culture, ‘ilima flowers were used to create lei associated with royalty, and the plant is considered a kinolau (physical manifestation) of Laka, the goddess of hula and forests. Ecologically, ‘ilima plays a valuable role in Hawai‘i's ecosystems by stabilizing coastal areas, preventing erosion in sandy or rocky soils, and providing food and habitat for native insects and birds, thus contributing to the islands' biodiversity.

Illustrated by our founder Kea Peters and printed by a Native Hawaiian owned business on a soft tri-blend tee that gets softer over time. Tahlee is wearing a size Large and Sunema is wearing a size Small. Find the matching tote here.

I love that the [puakenikeni] lei design catches everyone's eye, and I love telling them about this local artist when they ask. It's not just a sticker - it's a durable piece of art that brings a touch of aloha to my everyday items. Definitely getting more to add to my collection!

I absolutely love my lei wrap sticker from Kākou Collective! It's been on my water bottle through beach days, hikes, and countless washes, and it still looks as beautiful as the day I put it on.

Been using lei wrap stickers on my laptop and water bottle for over a year now and I'm amazed at how well it's held up! The vinyl quality is top-notch - no fading or peeling even with daily use. But what I love most is how Kea captured the lei in such a beautiful way. These stickers are the perfect blend of beauty and durability!
