Kākou Collective Return & Refund Policy

We’re a small, Native Hawaiian artist-owned and family operated business that carefully creates and packs every order with aloha. If something isn’t right, we’ll do our best to make it pono—with clear and simple return guidelines.

Returns & Exchanges (In-Store & Online)

  • Returns or exchanges must be requested within 7 business days of purchase (for in-store) or 7 business days of delivery (for online orders).

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and include proof of purchase.

  • We offer store credit or exchange only. Refunds are only issued if an item is damaged and cannot be replaced.

  • Final Sale Items (clearance, custom orders, or event purchases) are non-returnable.

  • For online returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error.

  • Once approved, return items must be shipped back within 7 business days.

  • Store credits are valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • Damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 7 business days of delivery.

  • Email aloha@kakoucollective.com with your order number and photos.

  • We will respond and resolve the issue within 7 business days.

  • If the item is defective and cannot be replaced, a refund may be issued.

Return Shipping Instructions (Online Orders)

Once your return is approved, safely package and ship the merchandise (we recommend insuring your package) within 7 business days to:

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and assume responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit unless the return is due to our error. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Processing Timeline

  • Once we receive your return, we will inspect and process it within 7 business days.

  • Store credits issued will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
