Dry Forest Apparel Collection
The Waikoloa Dry Forest Collection was made in partnership with the Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative — an organization on the ground doing active restoration work to bring back one of Hawaiʻiʻs most threatened ecosystems. The apparel is made in collaboration with Sugar Caddy — both Kea and Sugar Caddy are rooted in Honouliuli, an endangered dry forest on Oʻahu. People from one dry forest, showing up for another.
Each piece features original illustrations by Kea Peters, drawn from direct observation of the plants themselves. The dry forests of Waikoloa — once widespread across the leeward slopes of Hawaiʻi Island — are now among the rarest ecosystems on earth. Wearing this collection is an act of mālama ʻāina.
A portion of every sale supports restoration work through the Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative.
