Kukui (candlenut tree) is a canoe plant brought to Hawaiʻi by our ancestors. Like many canoe plants, it had a variety of uses, however it is most known for it’s nuts containing white, oily kernels used to create light. Because of this it is often used as a symbol of enlightenment. Kukui is Hawaiʻi’s official state tree.
Matted Prints are giclée prints produced with archival inks on acid-free paper to ensure print permanence. All matted prints include an archival back mat so they are protected and ready to frame. To fit standard sizing and allow for easy framing, slight cropping from the original may occur.
