About the Design
Designed by Native Hawaiian wahine artist Kea Peters, the Every Pua Blooms in Its Own Time Tee reminds us that growth unfolds at its own pace — that every person, like every pua, blooms when we’re meant to.
This design features the hau flower (Hibiscus tiliaceus), a tree deeply connected to life in Hawaiʻi. Found along shorelines and streams, hau provides shade, cordage from its bark, and sturdy branches once used for the waʻa (canoe) and hoe (paddle). Its blossoms shift color throughout the day — yellow in the morning, orange by midday, and red by evening — reflecting the beauty of change and transformation.
Like the hau, we’re all meant to grow and evolve in our own time. Wear this tee as a reminder to give yourself grace and trust your season — every pua blooms when we’re meant to.
