Aloha mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi! Just in case you didnʻt know - February is Hawaiian language month. This month, we hope you are inspired to carry the light for future generations by incorporating ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi into your daily life. Even if it's just using one word, recommitting to learning, teaching someone else, or even just listening, we can all kōkua in perpetuating Hawaiian language in our own way.
This months print has a lot of kaona (hidden meaning) from the choice of mea kanu (plant) to the waihoʻoluʻu (color). Kukui is synonomus with light, as the nuts from the oil of the kukui were used as a source of light. As for the color way, we went with a cool color to symbolize the cool breeze.
