Shop Closed for Hoʻomaha (March 16–22, 2026)

From March 16, 2026 – March 22, 2026, our shop will be closed.

Hoʻomaha means to rest. It’s a pause we intentionally build into our year to slow down, be present with our ʻohana, and care for the relationships that hold us together.

At Kākou Collective, so much of what we do is rooted in pilina—connection to people, place, and each other. Taking time to step away is part of how we honor that. It gives us space to reconnect at home, to check in with one another, and to come back feeling grounded and ready to welcome our community again.

Running a small, Native Hawaiian wahine-owned business means we’re often balancing many roles at once. To have a week dedicated to Hoʻomaha is one way we make sure we’re caring for ourselves and our families in the same way we care for our work and our space.

This isn’t a one-time thing. You’ll see us observe times to Hoʻomaha throughout the year as part of how we operate—intentionally, thoughtfully, and without apology.

We appreciate your understanding and your support as we take this time. You can always find the most up-to-date shop hours and reopening information or shop online on our website at kakoucollective.com.
