Mikioi

Mikioi is a twisted kui style lei inspired by lei found hanging in lei stands, ready to be gifted and worn for special occasions. Lei is a symbol of aloha and giving lei is an extension of aloha. It can be given as a symbol of love, friendship, to celebrate, or even honor someone.

This lei is strung with pīkake and loke. Although both flowers are not native to Hawaiʻi, they are local favorites.

Mikioi: Dainty and neat in craftsmanship, or in doing anything;  excellently made, as result of workmanship.

Kui: To string pierced objects, as flowers in a lei.
